Our horse farm was launched in 2003 by Navid and Christine Kharrazi. We operate out of sunny Tucson, Arizona on a 5-acre property equipped with 10 stalls, a tack room and hay barn, where our horses continue to thrive. It was the love of these majestic, beautiful and athletic animals that persuaded us to start our adventure 20 years ago. Our farm overlooks the Tucson, Tortelita, and Catalina Mountain ranges and is nestled against federal land. Situated in the Northwest Tucson area between Marana, Picture Rocks, and Aver Valley, our panoramic views include the iconic Kitt Peak.

 

Our story began with Christine's horse, Shiraz, who ignited the spark that would become On a Wing and a Prayer. The seeds of our ranch were sown when Christine's aunt surprised us with Shiraz, who she won at an auction. This set us on the unexpected but rewarding path of horse ownership. We eventually launched a small breeding farm while we each juggled full-time careers.

Navid, ventured into the world of endurance riding and discovered a passion for the sport of cutting, winning countless accolades over the years. An Arabian named Shahrazad emerged as our prized horse. Defying expectations and stereotypes, she shattered preconceptions about Arabians' capabilities in cutting.

Today, we maintain an active presence in multiple Arabian, Quarter Horse, and cutting organizations across Arizona and the nation at large. We compete in several competitions annually, have shepherded multiple mares through pregnancy, and are just as passionate about owning horses as we were the day we founded the farm.
